Dee is having another baby!

Dee has been one of my best friends since high school, and it's been an adventure experiencing life together over the last 13 years--growing up, track and cross country, school, getting married, having babies, and such. She is due with squishy #2 at the end of January. It will be her second daughter (name still undecided), but we are all looking forward to meeting her. I'm especially looking foward to photographing her! :) Here are the photos of Dee's maternity session, joined by her daughter, Alyka (squishy #1).

Cheers,

The "Play"germans

Ok...so that spelling looks funny in the title..."germans" is pronounced with a "g" as in "goat" sound, not like "g" as in germ... They are the Plagerman (play-gurrr-man) Family, and they love to "Play." That was where I was going with the title!!! So how is that for my long winded description?!

Dwayne and Candys have 5 amazing children who all really love each other. Danielle is the oldest, and is followed by Cailey, Jacob, Joshua, and Joseph. Not only are they a loving family, they are so giving and welcoming. Everytime I visit their house, I can't help but overstay. It's warm and cozy and filled with fun conversation.

Candys, I think that the only thing better than the photo shoot itself was me being able to visit for an hour or so when I delivered your photos!!

Cheers,

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.

Regardless that it was snowing in Bellingham, I told the Millers to put on their snow gear and do the shoot! How many people get real snow in their Christmas photos? Not a whole lot if you live in our neck of the woods! Bellingham bay was calm and quite, a dramatic change from when I shot Tom and Carrie's photos. The snow was light and lively, and Micah, Maliah, and Jaden were so natural in front of the camera! I think Micah was a little baby model when he was born too...Am I remembering correctly Chantel?

It was so fun to play in the snow with your family! Enjoy your photos.

Cheers,

I just love Jaden's face, as he has no idea that his parent's are pushing eachother into the bay behind him!

Vennesa's Maternity Shoot

Vennesa is a photographer, and so as we were shooting she came up with all these fun spots and ideas for photos. She actually was our wedding photographer, so it was an honor to shoot her maternity photos. The next morning we convinced her dear husband to come out for 1/2 and hour to get some family photos just in time for Christmas. Terry, I'm sorry the slide was so cold, and I will never make another client sit on a metal slide when it is just a mere 20 degrees outside again! :)

Enjoy these beautiful photos of the tall, blond haired blue-eyed bombshell mother to be!

It's That Time of Year...

...When my MIL, Jennie, heads up Christmas decorating at Cornwall Church. Chris, Madeline, and I came mostly for the food and to enjoy watching all the volunteers. Thanks for all your hard work, and making Cornwall look AMAZING for Christmas this year!

Tom, Carrrie and Clare Marie

Tom and Carrie: Why is it that I always seem to shoot your photos in extreme weather?!

I shot Tom and Carrie's engagement photos bright and early one morning when it was 20 degrees outside with frost all over the ground, (and they didn't have warm clothes)...their wedding was on the HOTTEST day of our whole summer a few years back. And now, yesterday, I have them outside with their new baby, Clare, in stormy cold, windy, sleet. We actually had to postpone the shoot day due to snow! We had a good 20 minutes outside before the clouds burst forth with sleet, wind and rain at a mere 33 degrees.

I promise you guys, next time we will chose a mild day, with no wind, rain, snow, frost, sunstroke, or dehydration!

It was great to spend time with you, even though we kept you in Bellingham many hours too long! It was a joy to be with your family again.
