I love the perspective of these two photos... am I looking up or down in the last photo?

Madeline Turned 5 :)

Yesterday we celebrated Madeline's 5th birthday at the Fun Zone here in Bellingham. All the big bouncy jumperoo thingies looked so fun, I wish they would do a parent's night for jumping! :) Also for her birthday, we had all the guests bring a donation instead of a gift. Then with the money, we let her choose what ever she wanted to give out of the World Vision Gift Catalogue. She decided to give some ducks, but since she raised $125.00 total, we are letting her choose more than just ducks... unless she wants a lot of people to have ducks. HA :)

Diane + Bob *Bellingham Engagement Photographer*

I had a great time meeting Diane and Bob for an engagement session in Fairhaven. One of the best parts of the this photo session was being able to shoot with Amy Parsons! Diane is Amy's sister-in-law, and she is a kick! She had me laughing so hard at times! :) They were quite the fun and spunky couple--and up for shooting anywhere us crazy photographers wanted to take them!

Back to life...Back to Reality

Wow, I had a fabulously restful and fun 4th of July weekend. On the 4th, we had an impromptu BBQ with some friends at Aaron and Megs place...but Megs was at work. She works at Conoco Phillips, and I told her she could light off some really big fireworks from the top of the refinery...but that didn't happen! Ha Ha. Anyhow, we watched the sunset over the bay from their wonderful deck, then moseyed on down to Boulevard Park to watch the fireworks over the Bellingham Bay. It was a beautiful night!

I Needed a Model

So I had some fun equipment to play around with, and who better to call to model for me than another photographer??!! I picked up Aaron and Megs and we drove around town looking for some fun spots--I just loved the yellow wall!! You can see it make an appearance in one of Aaron's photos here... I don't know, my yellow wall version might be better! HA HA. Kidding... Thanks Aaron for letting your wife and I shoot you!

Anyways, here's Aaron looking very chipper!

Ice Cream Scoopers

Yup, ice cream scoopers are the cupped hands the kids make while learning how to swim. I really had never thought of using my hands as ice cream scoopers while swimming, but the idea is purely GENIOUS! :) Madeline finished up her first session of swim lessons at Bayside Pool. She did a great job, but we are still working out the fear factor of swimming! Both Chris and I such fishes, its hard to understand Madeline's fear of water. We are so excited for her 1 on 1 lessons with our dear friend, Lindsay Williams, which will begin this Saturday at the Bellingham Country Club. Hopefully we'll get her to dunk, jump, and then use those ice-cream scoopers for swimming!
